Stand Up!

So Hailey is working on mastering standing up and is getting very good! Today when I went to get her from her crib she stood up on her own to say Hi to me! You're right, Brooke! It is crazy! :)

The Zoo!

After several prior attempts, we finally made it to the zoo today! It was a little hot, but we still had fun! At first Hailey wasn't really sure what we were doing, but she ended up noticing the animals and had alot of fun! We went to the giraffes first and they were really cool! Unfortunately, Hailey didn't really look at them and instead looked at all of the rocks and bushes that were closer and other kids next to us. We went to the zebras next and she didn't appreciate those either! :) It was easier for her to appreciate the animals that were closer to us. She liked the flamingos, the elephants and the orangutans! She loved the orangutans! There was a little baby orangutan that was hanging and bouncing up and down. Hailey couldn't take her eyes off of it and kept pushing off of the rail like she wanted to jump in and start playing with it! :) 

The heat got to all of us! At one point, we needed to sit and recharge. We went to the nearest food and shade area which happened to be the Fisher Price Kid Zone. That was okay for Hailey, but bad for her parents! :) There weren't any adult sized tables and chairs, so Jay and I sat jammed in the kid's table. Hailey sat on my lap as we were all jammed in the table. At least we got to sit though! While we were sitting there a  big chicken came right up to me and Hailey and wouldn't move! The chicken looked like it was about to start pecking at us so we got up and moved away from the tiny tables! :) At the end Hailey got to ride her first carousel! She rode on a giraffe! She giggled when it started going and seemed like she enjoyed herself.

Despite the heat and the crazy chickens, it was a fun day! I'm glad that we finally got to take Hailey on her first zoo trip! I'm sure there will be many more to come! (next time when it's not as hot!) Oh and check out Hailey's many hair accessories that she wore today! (a headband, a hat and even a Mohawk!)

Forts..

Hailey has been having alot of fun exploring the house! She loves to crawl under things and make her own fort! :) Here's a couple of cute fort pictures..

Christmas in May :)

It seems like Hailey has been doing a new thing everday now! It's been alot of fun! Now she can sit up on her own, without us having to put her in that position. She'll be laying on her back or crawling and then she'll sit up! This morning, I walked into her room and found her sitting up in her crib and tugging on her mobile! I can only imagine what's next! :)

Today we went to the park that's close to our house and Hailey went on her first swing! She had alot of fun! She would giggle as we would push her back and forth. Here's a couple of pictures of Hailey's swinging adventures and a couple of good shots of her teeth! :) 

Oh and Hailey loved Christmas so much that she really wanted to wear Christmas colors today. Christmas in May! :)

9 Months!

Hailey is now 9 months! Yesterday we got Hailey's 9 month pictures done and she looked so cute in her little red dress! I can't wait to see how they turned out! She was hilarious! We took some of the pictures on her tummy in the grass. She kept crawling to the photographer (Hailee). The photographer kept backing up, but Hailey was too fast and her face ended up right in the photographer's face! :) When we get them back, I'll definitely post some. Hailey's doing well and is excited to be 9 months! :) 

As a side note, please leave lots of comments so I know I'm not just writing to myself (and Brooke)! :) Thanks for all of the comments-Brooke! At least I know I'm not writing to myself! :)

Second tooth and more!

Hailey got her second tooth this morning! It's very exciting! :) It's on the bottom next to her first tooth. You can barely see it, but it's there! 

Hailey has also started crawling more! She's come a long way since that first video of her crawling! She's been moving all around the house getting into all kinds of mischief! We thought our floors were clean until Hailey crawled around on the tile and when I picked her up she had dirt all over her pink shirt! :)

Hi Mom! :)

Big Day!

Hailey had a big day today! While she was at daycare today she started crawling! She was crawling with her arms, but she was moving across the room getting toys that she wanted. The other kids noticed that she was crawling and they went to tell Renee what they saw. Renee didn't see her crawling so she told the kids that she was close but not quite yet. The kids got really mad that she didn't believe them. Hailey was laughing at the whole thing! Finally, Hailey crawled in front of Renee and the kids were vindicated! She crawled a little bit for us tonight, but not very much. She must be saving up to crawl some more tomorrow!

The kids told Renee that she needed to get her camera out and get a video of it. So here's the video that was captured. It's really funny! She looks like a little inch worm! :)
